How Usabowl protects your privacy

Usabowl is built on a local-first, offline-first principle. Unlike most online calculators and converters, Usabowl does not send your inputs, calculations, or personal information to any server. Every tool — from the GPA and WASSCE grade calculators to the loan, savings, and tax calculators, to the QR generator and password generator — runs entirely inside your browser. This means the app keeps working without an internet connection, and the data you enter never leaves your device.

The only information Usabowl stores is what you create while using the app: your favorited tools, recently used tools, quick-access shortcuts, theme and currency preferences, and any feedback you choose to submit locally. All of this lives in your browser's local storage on the device you are using. Usabowl does not use accounts, does not set tracking cookies, and does not share data with third-party advertising or analytics services.

Because nothing is uploaded, you remain in full control. You can export a backup of your preferences or erase all locally stored data at any time from the Settings page. Once you clear the data or remove the app, no trace of your usage remains anywhere. For tools that use randomness, such as the password and random number generators, Usabowl uses the browser's cryptographically secure Web Crypto API so the values are generated locally and securely, without ever being transmitted.
